Technical Specialist ( Backend Developer)

Position Attributes

The Backend Developer will be responsible for developing backend software using state-of-the-art techniques aiming maximum performance and reliability. Backend Developers must master the self-service and automation capabilities of cloud platforms to avoid depending for operations staff to perform configuration management tasks to deploy applications. Backend Developers will be responsible for delivering software attending to functional and non-functional requirements and ensure test automation.

§        Lead a team of developers, reporting to R&D project Manager on a agile environment.

§        Implement backend software according to specifications.

§        Guarantee developed services are compliant with security requirements.

§       Perform from unit to integration and load tests to guarantee your software meets functional and non-functional requirements.

§       Analyze, isolate, and solve issues. Act to prevent issues.

§      Evaluate and modify software performance on the cloud environment

§      Enforce Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery of the software components you develop

Qualifications

§     Strong background in Linux/Unix

§     Experience with continuous integration using either Jenkins, Quickbuild or an equivalent

§     Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent

§     Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is a plus)

§     Strong experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle)

§      High experience on usage of build automation (Jenkins, Quickbuild) and version control systems (Git, Perforce);

§     Experience on unit test tools, mock test frameworks, integrated test suites, and performance test tools

§      High experience on programming, Java language is mandatory

§      A working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)

§     Experience on agile teams, on technical leadership roles

Desirable Skills

§  Experience in NoSQL databases.

§  Master of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related areas

§  Fluent in Korean and English

§ 

·        Technical Specialist (Protocol Team)

Position Attributes

§  Lead a team focused on Identifying, analyzing and solving protocol-related issues for Samsung devices

§  Collaborate for issue reproduction and investigation with internal and overseas teams, as well as chipset vendors

§  Take part on task-forces on Latin America for solving software problems and enable products to be release on the market

§  Be a focal point for technical communication for the local team with technical counterparts in LA Carriers, Chipset Vendors, and Samsung Overseas R&Ds

Qualifications

§  Experience on leading a team of qualified engineers

§  Graduated on Telecom Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar

§  Deep knowledge of 2G, 3G, and 4G network protocols

§  Deep understanding of TCP/IP protocol

§  Good knowledge of C/C++ programming languages

§  Outstanding logical ability for root cause analysis

§  Excellent attention to details

§  Fluent in Korea and English

Desired Skills

§  Knowledge of Linux Embedded, specially Android internals

§  Knowledge oh Android OS architecture

§  Master of Science on Computer Science or related field

Software Testing Coordinator (HP4888)

Professional Qualifications :

§  Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electronics, electrical, telecommunications or computer science.

§  Desirable experience in test automation and automation tools, knowledge in GSM (2 g), UMTS (3 g) and LTE (4 g);

Main Responsibilities:

§  Coordinate software testing projects in accordance with the policies of the center of research and development at Samsung;

§  Coordinate the execution of software testing in accordance with the process and procedures adopted by the Organization and good practice in the area (BSTQB);

§  Coordinate the technical work in order to achieve the objectives of schedule, quality, scope and budget of the project;

§  Guide the technical team on the stages of the software testing process (cycle of product development-Software), such as: requirements analysis, design, implementation and tests.
